Connecting girls with women role models is one of the first steps in breaking down gender stereotypes and a proven tactic to increase girls’ participation in STEM fields. A study of Inspiring Girls’ activities published in Frontiers In Psychology shows that sessions with role models broaden girls’ minds, boost their expectations of success, and reduce stereotypes.
